It is always a wonderful day when I have the opportunity to feature work from Miss Pickles Press. I featured Jen’s wedding this time last year on Once Wed and it’s been really exciting to see her design business thrive and grow over the last year. Our wedding today is all the way from the lovely state of Arkansas. Jen was kind enough to share a few details behind the sweet celebration below..

Charlie and Ryan’s first date was a multi-state road trip (can you imagine?) and the rest is history. They are extensive travelers and when I last spoke with them, have applied for service in the peace corps. Just amazing people with big hearts. The wedding invitation was a double sided 11×17 poster that was folded like a road map, bound with orange spice colored yarn and delivered in a kraft mailer. Their story of how they met and fell in love is written like a story on the poster.

The RSVPs  were vintage styled postcards of glacier national park in the early 1900s (where the groom worked) and another one featuring turn-of-the-century images of Blackfeet Indians in their tee-pees (the Indian tribe they worked with while at the reservation) which was very meaningful to them. We wanted guests to unfold the invitation just like a road map, so it had all kinds of crazy folds to it.

The ceremony programs were slipped inside of pretty cotton muslin bags. I hand stamped them with a vintage lace pattern, and they were hung from a tree in the yard where they were married. They were married on their family farm property across from a cotton field in Arkansas. Every detail of the ceremony (with the exception of paper goods) was DIY, even down to the food that family pitched in to make for all to enjoy.
