I have a small love affair with derby style hats. Unfortunately, I don’t have many opportunities to wear them, so you can imagine how thrilled I was to see the lovely wedding of Alan and Ani from photographer, Ian Villaceran. I just can’t resist a wedding with pretty pastels, garden hats, and afternoon tea…
Alan and I met on eharmony in November 2008. Alan was in San Diego and I was in San Francisco. We flew back and forth for more than a year getting to know one another’s city and hearts. When Alan proposed in Butchart Gardens near Victoria, Canada, I knew our wedding also would be in a beautiful garden.

I have a love affair with hats too! That wedding is so beautiful!
So pretty! I love the amazing backdrop and all of the hats. Too fun.
Ooooh the bride’s hat is stunning – I’d love something similar for mine in October. I’m also requesting our guests wear hats/headgear.
Love the attire and photos..especially the one of the dress hung in the gardens
Love all the details of this wedding…and the location of the ceremony was gorgeous! My husband and I met through on-line dating too!
Yay for Internet love! ;)
I absolutely love everything about this wedding shoot. The green surrounding the main floor is truly breathtaking. I like how everything is simple yet so perfect.

LOVE the fan milk vase! and the whole wedding of course! Beautiful couple and beautiful setting and photos!
love the birdcage for the cards…
Gorgeous wedding. I love that the bride wore Elizabeth Fillmore because that is who I wore too. I feel like we belong in a club together.
Oddly enough, I bought my dress used from Once Wed ;)

Gorgeous wedding! Love the location…. I got married at the Brazilian Room too 9 years ago this December. Congratulations to the bride and groom!
Ok I love the bride’s hat. In fact there is a cool hat on the chair, it’s the next to the last picture. Hatastic!
Wow that headpiece is something else!
i like her outfit although i think the headpiece is a bit….something else, it sure is something different!
Lovely pictures! :)
So jealous of those tea/coffee urns. Would have loved to have found something like that before buying the plain one we have. :’(
Beautiful couple, beautiful setting and very handsome hat. We love your story and welcome you as neighbors!
