A Sweet Backyard Wedding II

The reception was held in the neighbor’s backyard, which was really more of a meadow than a traditional backyard! It was a beautiful open space that Signature Party Rentals framed with cafe lights. Guests found their table assignments written on over-sized chalkboards. The Food Matters catered the event with an incredibly professional and helpful staff and the family-style dinner they cooked up was incredible.

Chunky wood tables and matching chairs rounded out the look of a fancy and cozy backyard dinner. We placed curly willow down the center of the tables to create the look of a natural runner. Mason jars and tiny bud vases held bright peonies, dahlias, kale, roses, and other fun florals. We also placed fruit and a bunch of candles on the tables for a warm and lush decor feel.┬áThe dance party was one of the best I’ve seen and it was lead by one of my new favorite DJs, Brian Buonassissi of B-Boy Productions. And of course, these incredible photos were taken by the fabulous Sarah Yates who is not only extremely talented but is seriously just an overall wonderful person to work with.

I love the idea of using curly willows as table runners. My fiancee and I are working with a small budet for decor and were having trouble with finding affordable table runners. This would be perfect as an accent on our tables plus it goes great with your rustic theme. Gorg wedding!!

These big wooden tables are GORGEOUS and especially in such a lovely outdoor setting. Also, love the persimmons and citrus scattered down the table.

I like the idea. This just shows that we can make an elegant reception out of a neighbor’s backyard rather that to an expensive hotels.

There is something in the 2nd to the last photo that will make me smile at it.

I am trying to plan a rustic fall wedding and i LOVE those long wooden tables and brown wooden chairs. Do you have any idea where she got them from/through?

  7. Meg

Hello ladies. The chairs and tables were rentals from Signature Party Rentals. Most major rental places carry them now. Meg :)

I am looking for ties in that exact shade of blue…with no luck. Is there any way to find out where they purchased the groomsmen ties?

The colors and the twinkle lights are fabulous! I wish we could have seen a nighttime shot with the candles burning and the lights above. What a beautiful day!

I’m planning an outdoor wedding, and I love the raspberry and orange together. And putting the raspberries in with the tea light looks great!

Beautiful. I would love to have an outdoor reception like this and have all things I need except… what did you do as a rain backup? The option of hiring a marquee for 200 or more people makes it too expensive, especially as a ‘just in case’. Did you just take the chance? any ideas anyone?
