Even though all the pieces above are actually corsages and boutonnieres, I love how LaLaLaurie displayed one on top of a birch stump under the glass dome. Wouldn’t it be lovely as the centerpiece for a reception table?

Opening up my inbox and seeing the beautiful wedding of Rebecca + Eric that Leigh Miller sent me made my day. Rebecca and Eric recently got married at the El Dorado Royale in Riveria Maya, Mexico. I absolutely love the Nicole Miller taffeta gown she wore. What a perfect dress for a beach wedding. Leigh Miller is the incredible photographer behind these images. Leigh is one of the most talented photographers I’ve ever come across in the wedding world, so this is a huge treat and honor for me to post these pictures on Once Wed. To see more of this wonderful wedding, click on over to her blog.

Sarah Jessica Parker’s wore this crazy hat to the Sex and the City premiere last night and it kinda sparked a debate on whether her move was over the top or not. Honestly, I love over the top in certain situations and I think she is one of the few individuals who can carry a look like this off, so I love it. It also reminded me of a unique wedding Abby featured on her site a couple weeks back where another bride wore a funky hat pictured above(which I also loved and that orange dress is awesome!). So what do you guys think about over the top hats for a wedding, love it or leave it? If you are looking for a hairpiece/hat that leans towards the eccentric side, check out kankalinhats etsy store. Her pieces are bold, but incredibly made and colorful.

Rebecca of Duet Weddings posted this awesome idea on her blog and I couldnt resist sharing it here. Wonderful Graffiti will create your entire design on a very thin sheet of
vinyl transfer which you can apply to any smooth surface and give the
appearance of being printed right on it. P.S.- Rebecca is an incredible event designer!!! If you havent checked out her site, you are missing out.
