Engagement Session on the Beaches of Tulum

Tulum is a magical place. From the ancient architecture to the sandy beaches, with an endless blue sky looking over all, it seems that nothing can go wrong. And for Marisa and Daane, that certainly rang true. Tomorrow, we’ll be featuring this couple’s wedding on Once Wed, so be sure to check back!

More from the bride:
“Viviendo un sueño. A living dream…that is what each day is like in Tulum. We first visited the Mayan Riviera several years prior to being engaged – and as soon as we arrived, it felt like we were always meant to be there. Each day we spent there felt like paradise and home all at once. We weren’t “talking marriage” at the time, but that didn’t stop Daane from looking up at the penthouse of Coqui Coqui and saying “if we get married, we’re coming back and staying there.” Honestly, there’s just no place like it on earth. “Eco-Chic” is a word often thrown around to describe Tulum… but Coqui Coqui is the epitome the concept. The most exceptional fabrics, scents, decor and cuisine… all together under one blissfully romantic thatched roof. Three years later, we walked into Coqui Coqui once again… this time, engaged to be married the very next day. Weddings have a way of sucking you into a whirlwind of overwhelm… which luckily, we were expecting. So we made it a point to carve out time for ourselves the day before our wedding to spend a few hours alone together, enjoying our favorite haunts, in our most favorite town in all the world. We are so glad we did!! Those hours spent strolling along the ruins, running through the seafoam, and dancing in the Coqui Coqui courtyard…are moments we will treasure, forever.”
