I can’t tell you how thrilled I am about Kelly guest blogging today. Her
wedding was so incredibly beautiful and all the thoughtful and handmade
details throughout make it that much more special and unique. I asked
Kelly if she wouldn’t mind sharing a few details about how they came to
be as a couple. She was kind enough to oblige…
Jeremy and I both grew up in a small Michigan town, both graduated from the same high school, but did not meet until many years
later. We stumbled upon one another at a mutual friend’s wedding,
where we spent the night talking, dancing, and the rest is history!
While vacationing in Mexico a year and a half later…The proposal was
romantic, surprising, and came without a ring. I had already expressed
little interest in a traditional diamond, so we set off in search of
the perfect ring….we found a champagne topaz and had it set in a
delicate white gold band. We spent the remainder of the week enjoying
our time being newly engaged and shared the news with family and
friends when we returned home.
Jeremy and I are now living in Chicago and just about ready to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary!

Stay tuned for so much more….

Incredible desserts created by Cannelle et Vanille caught my eye while searching this morning. How perfectly elegant would an all white dessert bar look at a wedding?

I’ve been swooning over these lovely images all morning. How great are the cloth garlands made with random pieces of blue and red fabrics?

It has been such a busy week here at Once Wed getting ready for our next "Table Trends" feature next week. It’s been so fun gathering materials and I cannot wait to share the final result with everyone(im not crafty by nature so we will see how it goes). I’ve also got some amazing guest bloggers lined up for the next month on Once Wed, so stay tuned for lots of DIY inspired real weddings and more.
Celine and Jin finally tied the knot(you might remember a sneak peek of Celine’s DIY projects a few months back) and I am so excited that she will be joining use very soon to share all the details. I couldn’t resist showing you the front page of her wedding website before her feature goes live though. Isn’t it absolutely adorable?
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend and I will see you here next week!!
