Emily Marie Cox is a recent fibers graduate and created the colorful headbands above for a recent project. I love how she stuck the cloth heads on the lamp bases to exhibit her wonderful hairpieces….
I usually don’t feature many pieces of jewelry on Once Wed, but when I stumbled across Halligan’s website I was immediately smitten with her unique selection. I love the craftsmanship behind each piece.
p.s.- I got to have coffee this morning with Jesse and Whitney of Our Labor of Love. I knew it was going to be fun because their blog is such an enjoyable read, but they are even more awesome in person….

I am a huge fan of Savannah College of Art and Design(SCAD). My sister is going there next year for advertising design and I am consistently blown away by the pieces created by current students and alumni. Here are a few wedding related items that I am currently loving….

A couple more details from Andrew about the reception….
The centerpieces for the reception were made with manzanita branches
with hanging crystals and orchids. The ring bearer had a ring box
instead of a ring pillow and he was just adorable. The box was of
course delicately decorated with desert succulents and orchids.
Their cake was designed by the very talented Andrea Blaut of Sedona
Cake Couture … she’s won a ton of awards and was recently featured on
the Food Network Channel cake competition.
Because the wedding took place at a private residence guests were came
in by trolley. They had an day of coordinator, Karen Lynn of Sedona
Wedding Planner, to make sure the festivities all went smoothly.
It was a beautiful day filled with a lot of love and we were so honored to be a part of it. Congratulations to Karen and Steve! Andrew and Katrina, thank you so much for sharing this lovely wedding with us!!!

Today’s real wedding feature is courtesy of the amazing husband and wife team behind Sedona Bride. I’m consistently blown away by the talent of Andrew and Katrina, so obviously I jumped at the chance to showcase their beauitful work on Once Wed. Andrew was kind enough to share a few details and images from Steve and Karen’s fabulous wedding…
Karen and Steve had a gorgeous wedding at a private property in Sedona,
Arizona. Karen wore the most amazing Christian Dior gown, highlighted
by a special pair of Rene Caovilla shoes for the ceremony, and a second
pair of Rene Caovilla’s to go with a new evening gown for dancing
during the reception.
The ceremony took place at the front gate of the courtyard and gardens
of the residence. The terrace just down the steps from the gate is
graced with an amazing fountain, which was decorated with the floral
and decor of Events by Showstoppers; an artistic arrangement of desert
succulents, cactus skeletons, and vibrant orchids. Rose petals were
scattered like a blanket over the water in the fountain.
We loved how instead of being walked down an aisle Karen walked to the guests and was met half way by Steve. Very romantic.
