I just picked up the new Martha Stewart Weddings issue at my local Blockbuster of all places and this adorable wedding on a ranch caught my eye. I just love the down to earth vibe of this whole wedding. The bride silkscreened and designed the invitations herself, collected all the plates and vases from her local goodwill stores, sewed all 150 napkins from vintage linens, and handstiched the Belgian runners. I am impressed!!

Anyone here ever thought of having pom poms thrown at them by guests as they leave? What a fun way to say goodbye…

This is a very elegant and flattering dress. It is very light weight and comfortable to wear with fine delicate lace and silk charmeuse undenearth. It has not been altered and is perfect condition. It is ideal for a bride who is looking for comfort with the utmost elegance and regalness. It was purchased in NYC and made in Paris, France and therefore is a size 40 European. It has never been worn and the tags are still attached. It came straight from the designer.

This is a gorgeous reembroidered Monique Lhuillier lace sheath gown with signature open back and godet skirt, which has pearl buttons down the back. I received many compliments on this dress at my August 2008 wedding and have continued to receive compliments on it. It is truly lovely.
The dress is in great condition. The professional cleaning removed the minor staining that was on the hem of the dress where it touched the ground. The only flaws are the dress are: 1 missing button and two very small tears in the netting (not the lace). These are not noticeable and, to the extent, that the dress is hemmed at all would likely be taken off.
There have been minimal alterations to this dress. The silk slip was sewn into the dress and a backless bra was sewn into the silk; these alterations could be easliy undone. In addition, the top of the dress and straps were taken in slightly. Three hooks were added to the underside of the dress, and a small blue ribbon (your “something blue”) to the slip, for the bustle.
There have been no alterations to the sides of the dress or to the length (I am 5′ 10″) with the exception of the lace trim being added to the bottom. The lace at the hem could be easily removed and re-added if the length of the dress needs to be shortened. Also, I have some of the extra lace that came with the dress.
I will gladly send additional pictures to any interested buyers.
I wore approximately 2.5 inch Christian Louboutin sling backs with the dress. Size 40 (USA size 10). They look lovely with the dress. I paid close to $600 for the shoes but will sell them for an additional $250. There is some very slight staining on the satin heels, which professional cleaning may remove. They are otherwise in great condition. (If you interested in the shoes, I can take pictures of them for you).
