dress for me right back in San Francisco (where I was living at the time). After trying on literally hundreds of gowns, this dress, which had been an early favorite, was in the top-two. Then I learned that the issues I had with it could be changed, since they would not begin production on the dress until I ordered it. That settled it. The rest is history ;-) The dress was custom-made by Monique Lhuillier, with unique differences that make it (in my opinion) more beautiful than the standard/original Scarlet design. The lace overlay was made from ML's "Monet" lace pattern instead of the standard lace pattern, which I felt looked "zig-zaggy" on me. The back was raised 5", to enable the addition of the "gold" (I would describe it as "champagne") colored silk/satin ML sash and lace/fabric-covered buttons were used instead of the standard pearl buttons. I wore the dress once; did not spill on it or tear it or have anything but the standard "wear and tear". It will look like new for your wedding and no one will know, unless you tell them. The dress was cut to a bridal size 6 - I wear a street size 4 - and when delivered, it fit me perfectly. The only alterations that were made to it were to a) hem the bottom, b) sew in cups to the liner, c) tack the liner to the lace to avoid any wardrobe malfunctions and d) bustle the train with a 7-point bustle - i think it's called American or pick-up or something, I'm not 100% sure, but I'm including a photo of it, so you can see. If you need other detail shots or have any questions, I'm happy to answer them or send more photos. Obviously I'm biased, but this was the perfect dress for me and I want it to go to someone else who will feel the same way. If you'd like, feel free to make an offer - I am happy to work with you (within reason). Lastly, I purchased the world most gorgeous Christian Louboutin crystal 3.5" heeled sandals for my wedding. I ended up wearing them only for the 30 minute ceremony, since I changed into wedges to protect the bottom of my dress and avoid issues with the wooden deck/grass/etc... I'm willing to sell these, too - let me know if you're interested. I'd be willing to sell them for about $700 (paid just over $1,000).
