To create a seamless transition from the natural surroundings, we included desert inspired wildflowers, bougainvillea and freshly cut olive leaves on the tables. Wooden bowls and rusted copper vessels filled with a bounty of fresh fruit and herbs adorned the table tops as if we had gathered them just hours before. Our menu was local and organic and the wine we poured was from Will’s family’s vineyard. The beauty and warmth of the gathering was only surpassed by the knowledge and comfort of being united with the man I knew God had always planned for me.
