So sweet, right? Here’s a little (big) tip I was thinking about as I was looking through this wedding…something they did well… As you make your timeline for your wedding day, consider the light. If you want beautiful pictures you want to give your photographer the best light to work in. I like soft natural light the best so I always plan for the most important shots to be taken in the late afternoon to early evening. I also love that they found great outdoor locations for group portraits when and where the light was good. Remember: if at all possible, good light always wins.

Hi everyone! Thanks for your kind words!! I am so honored to have our wedding on Once Wed since it’s my favorite wedding blog and I used it a lot for my inspiration while planning the wedding!
To answer some questions, the wedding dress style is Calista from Amsale and I am getting ready to sell it so if anyone’s interested, let me know! I’ll find out the BM dress brand and report back!
AND yes like Kate pointed out, both the wedding ceremony and reception were at The Boathouse at Prospect Park in Brooklyn. We got ready at The Mansfield hotel in Manhattan.
Thanks!!!!
The wonderful BM lace dress is from Imitation of Christ. It’s so sweet and fabulous!!! Oh and Tec did an amazing job, he’s simply the BEST!!
Would you mind sharing what nail polish color you wore? I think it’s just perfect! Congratulations!
Hi Janice, the nail polish was called Hot and Spicy by OPI. It’s more of a coral red, perfect transition for a beachy honeymoon!
What a beautiful wedding! Great spot to celebrate!
I hardly ever comment, but I love this wedding. So classic and chic. Beaming bride. LOVE LOVE LOVE
Absolutely love the bridesmaids’ dresses! the different colors look great
This was such a beautiful wedding to attend, and it could not have happened to a nicer couple or a more gracious and sweet bride.
I LOVE! And it’s so awesome the info on the BM dress was already on here :) I was just about to ask!
Eileen, Congrats! What’s the best way to contact you about selling your dress?
I love your hair piece! It’s so elegant and graceful, who is it by?
very beautiful :) and those men look super suave!
wishing the happy couple the best! my husband and i got married on the 3rd of july in brooklyn as well! we took photos at the boat house and had our wedding and reception else where. they obviously have great taste! :-)
Eileen, I love your wedding. So elegant and still modern. I’m getting married at the same spot in 2 weeks (eeks!) and was wondering how you attached your bamboo poles to the existing poles? We planned to just tie them but did you find a better method? Thanks!!
You’re right, these photos are -beautifully- lit. The dress is perfect, the venue even more so – nothing like a wedding by quiet water, I feel like it has such a calming, gentle effect on everything.
Wow! I just fell in love with the white lace dress that the woman next to the bride is wearing (perhaps shes her sister?) !!! pleeeeeeease does anyone know where to get this dress? im getting married soon and having an intimate dinner and have been looking for a dress like this one but havent had the luck… and now that i saw it does exist, please someone help!!! :) and thank u for sharing this beautiful wedding!
oh i just realized Eileen already posted who the BM dress is from … thank you so much and congratulations on your beautiful wedding! Eileen you looked so gracious :)
Does anyone know where i can find that beautiful BM lace dress? i see it is by imitation of christ but does anyone have the name or style or store …any details to find it… would really appreciate it! thank you! beautiful wedding!
Hi everyone! The BM dress was bought from Barney’s New York. She bought it in May so hopefully it’s still around, I would call and ask! It might even be on sale now.
Maria, we zippy tied (black zip ties from home depot) the bamboo poles (8′ tall from Jamali garden), so it was easy to set up and cut down.
AND… my dress is listed here if anyone’s interested!

Please please please tell me where you found the bowties! My brother is getting married in three weeks, saw this picture of your groomsmen and is now in search of these bowties and we can’t find them anywhere! Thanks in advance!
Hi. Your wedding was sublime. Very beautiful. I hate to ask but I’d love to know where you found the garland / banners for the ceremony site. Thanks! Kirsten
Hi Kristen, the mexican wedding banners (papel picado) were from
http://www.casabonampak.com. I also have 7 more left that were never used, I can sell them for $12 each.
Hi Amanda, the bow ties were from ties.com!

Would live to know where those grey tuxedos on the groomsmen are from?
Where did the little chalkboards come from?
Where is the veil from? Love it.
Thanks!
Love the tux with those suits. Any additional info on those? I couldn’t find any tuxedos on the theory website.
Beautiful wedding!!
