Ohhh you are all so kind. The lanterns are from Hoi An (Vietnam) but I’m sure they are very findable in any chinatown or online (search for ‘vietnamese lanterns’). I don’t know if the dress has a name, but it’s by Reem Acra from her 2008 collection (not bridal…eveningwear)

Katie the shoes are manolo blahnik (d’orsay)…texture is a sort of a nubbly raw silk. super comfy, as these things go….
I was trying to hunt down that dress ever since I saw it on a Gossip Girl episode! It was my dream dress, but alas, I could not find it anywhere. Happy to see it on such a beautiful bride :)

I just LOVE this dress and the pink shoes are fabulous! I had one of my brides wear the same shoes in gold…always one of my favorites!

the dress was something of a serendipity. I’m afraid the shop I found it at has no more (it was purchased in February 2010 and even then I was surprised to find it, since it’s from Acra’s 2008 show)…..perhaps an online wedding dress resale shop? ebay?? fingers tightly crossed.
