On second thought… Maybe the bride and groom both could just zip up to Seattle and model in an upcoming photoshoot. Hm??

Wowzer, that dress is something else. What a handsome couple and a beautiful wedding.

Ohhh you are all so kind. The lanterns are from Hoi An (Vietnam) but I’m sure they are very findable in any chinatown or online (search for ‘vietnamese lanterns’). I don’t know if the dress has a name, but it’s by Reem Acra from her 2008 collection (not bridal…eveningwear)

McKenzie, you don’t have to twist my arm to play dress up :)

Katie the shoes are manolo blahnik (d’orsay)…texture is a sort of a nubbly raw silk. super comfy, as these things go….

I was trying to hunt down that dress ever since I saw it on a Gossip Girl episode! It was my dream dress, but alas, I could not find it anywhere. Happy to see it on such a beautiful bride :)

I did find a dreamy Claire Pettibone as a replacement for my June wedding.

Hi Emily,

Any chance you’d be open to selling your dress? It’s so stunning and hard to find online. Thought I’d give asking a shot!

I’d also love to know where I can get my hands on this dress. It’s been my dream dress for quite some time. Beautiful wedding!

Dear all, your comments are so kind. For the vendor questions many of the details (with links) can be found here:

http://pacificweddings.com/destinationweddingblog/real_weddings/allyson-magda-a-big-sur-wedding

or here:
http://www.greylikesweddings.com/1-real-weddings/color-real-weddings/grey/point-16-the-edge-of-the-pacific/

the dress was something of a serendipity. I’m afraid the shop I found it at has no more (it was purchased in February 2010 and even then I was surprised to find it, since it’s from Acra’s 2008 show)…..perhaps an online wedding dress resale shop? ebay?? fingers tightly crossed.

Hi Ladies,
I was searching through used wedding gowns today and see that the same dress shown here is for sale! http://www.oncewed.com/45672/used-wedding-dresses/size-8/olivia-wilde/

Thought someone might enjoy that if they have been searching for it.
