Tinted Wedding Dresses: Blush Pink
As kind of a continuation of last week’s posts, this week we’re talking about tinted wedding gowns. Here’s a little color theory lesson in case you weren’t an art major: there are lots of ways to talk about and describe colors and when we talk about pastel colors we’re technically talking about tints. When we add colors (technically hues) to white we get tints. Since we mostly use varieties of whites for wedding gowns, this week we wanted to look at the more colorful options available for brides. The first dress (top left) is by Claire LaFaye and is available at Lovely Bridal in NY. The other dress (top right) is part of Vera Wang’s new (more affordable) line, White, and is only $1200.

BEYOND in love with this shoot.
I actually bought the White by Vera Wang dress in blush pink for my wedding in October! (It came yesterday so naturally I pranced around my apartment in it last night because I couldn’t wait to try it on in my size.) The color is gorgeous and I’m completely in love with it! It was difficult to find a pink dress in my price range, so I was pretty much ecstatic when the Vera line came out last month.
LOVE the Vera Wang! Not usually a pink girl myself, but this post may have changed my mind!

I love these dresses, and my wedding dress is actually tinted in pink. The tinted color looked better on me than ivory. Especially since I have red hair and freckles.
Girls, I’m hopeless! I fell in love with the White by Vera Wang dress in blush, but the fact is I live in Italy and by no means David’s Bridal will send me the gown, in their opinion I should cross the ocean to order it, and then obviously cross it again to fetch it..

SO PRETTY! I love the new vera wang collection at davids bridal. I think it will bring some great fashion to middle america. every girl deserves a bit of fashion and glamour on her wedding day instead of the same ole’ run of the mill wedding dress

I LOVE this shoot- so pretty :) Definitely considering a blush dress for our country-whimisical winter wedding. Just wondering about bridesmaids dresses though- what colours can you put with blush??
I have had my eye on the Vera dress, can’t wait tobtrt it on!! I think that silver, black, or a pinkish maroon would look fantastic for the bridesmaids!
I actually bought the Vera Wang blush gown for my April ’12 vintage vinyard-’circus’ wedding. The blush tint of the dress brings out the copper/bronze tones in my skin. I cannot wait to walk down the aisle at dusk in this gown, complete with blush pink tulle heels to match and a Lo Boheme-esque bridal hat that I handmade for a fraction of the cost (approximately 75% less)!
You’re right Devon. I’m doing black, Ivory and a very muted Gray with my Blush. My bridesmaids are wearing Blush pink dresses accented with black lace to go along with my vintage theme… Hope this helps,KellyS.
Just bought the blush Vera dress, too! LOVE it. Like, really love it. So glad it’s not in, yet, because I know I’d wear it every day I got home from work! I, too, am going with a vintage theme for my July 2012 wedding. (Think vintage lace tablecloths from grandmother’s grandmothers with framed photos and stories on each table.) To make jaws drop all the way to floor, I’m putting my bridesmaids in ivory. Guys will be in khaki. Navy is our accent color. CanNOT wait! I am *loving* the planning! Happy planning to the rest of you as well! :)
