Poppies and Posies
Good Morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Before jumping into regular posting, I want to give a quick shout out to one of our incredible sponsors, poppies & posies. Sierra & Juliet, the talented duo behind poppies & posies, met when they both moved to the ‘Big Apple’ and quickly realized they both had dreams of entrepreneurship and a love for design, flowers, and parties. So… they left their desk jobs and poppies & posies was born! They love the loose, lush look of hand-tied bouquets and mixing bright flowers with trailing vines and soft mosses. Something that is consistently present in their work is the incorporation of unexpected elements like vintage brooches or mushrooms keeping their designs fresh and fun.
They recently partnered with other NYC vendors on a terrarium inspired photo shoot which I thought was the perfect opportunity to brag on this fabulous duo…

I can vouch that P&P is THE florist you want for your wedding! They have been dropping off bouquets at Lovely bridal shop just for fun and brides are going ga-ga for them! They are the perfect mix of informal and glamorous!

thank you to everyone for your sweet comments! the bride’s dress is actually a piece from juliet’s personal collection. it is by maria maria, but unfortunately they are no longer in business. we love them and it would be a great cut to have your tailor make for your wedding dress!

What a gorgeous shoot – I have never seen a buttonhole flower like that on the groom…well model of the groom. They are really distinctly different.
i actually designed the grey dress, while working at mariemarie! it is so exciting to see it in such a beautiful shoot…especially because the company closed before that style went into production. gorgeous shoot!
