Before jumping right into my column for Design Sponge, I wanted to take some time this morning to give a quick shout out to one of our lovely sponsors, Blue Door Photography. We don’t have the opportunity to feature many seaside weddings on Once Wed, so I thought the beach photo shoot below would be the perfect bit of inspiration for couples who are planning to get married by the sea…
Our main goal is very simple – to take beautiful photos. We build relationships with our couples so we know exactly who they are, and what they are expecting on their wedding day. We love to have fun with our couples, but we also know when to step back and allow the wedding day to unfold. Our images our energetic, unobtrusive, and capture the day as it happens.
Although Blue Door is based in Savannah, GA they’ve have had the pleasure of photographing weddings from as far as Santa Barbara, CA to Rome, Italy. They really do love to travel! To see more of Blue Door’s images, check out their website and blog.
PS – The lovely ideas and styling you see above are courtesy of Savannah based event designer, Elizabeth Demos.

Hey Jennifer
It is actually a photo shoot put on by Blue Door and Elizabeth Demos which is I referred to it as a photo shoot in the summary above.
Thanks
Emily
Thanks for the clarification. Now I can be a little less jealous…but just as inspired. So beautiful and creative. Gorgeous ideas, styling and photography. You all have the design blogosphere swooning today.
BE-A-UTIFUL!! I just love the picture with the plane taking off behind them! And those dainty umbrellas!
what an adorable photo shoot! if anyone is really wishing to go with such a theme there’s a perfect bridesmaid dress at anthropologie right now with little airplanes on it! it’s called the wright dress.
Mitchell Hall (of Project Runway fame) did the wardrobe styling for the photo shoot. He also designed and made the bride’s dress. The tie was purchased at Hermes at Tyson’s Corner in Northern Virginia.
Where did you get the Save the date done? We are looking to do the same sort of thing for our wedding.
