When Josephine sent in her wedding recently, I knew it would be the perfect way to end the week on Once Wed. How could you resist a wedding where the bride wears not one but two beautiful vintage wedding dresses? Jo’s ceremony dress is a vintage dress from the 30′s and her reception dress belonged to her grandmother which she customized…

LOVE everything about this wedding! Especially BOTH her lovely lovely dresses!! to die for!
Those earrings… That stationary… More details please!!! :-)
Very pretty!
Love the Jimmy Choo shoes. What are they called?
Everything is beautiful and LOVE the shoes ! What is the style # and from which season ?
I would LOVE to know where she got both of her dresses, especially the short one – so cute!
I would also LOVE to know where the short dress is from – so perfect.
Hey Ladies! Both the dresses are vintage. The short one was her grandmothers and she sourced the longer dress from a vintage shop

I love her first gown, so beautiful.
OH WOW a modern Jackie Kennedy………….
I mean the pictures literally look like her 2010 wedding to JFK! Beautifully classic.
What a beautiful event .. thank you for sharing these pictures! I’ve been searching for a short-sleeved gown and have yet to find one as classy as this! I understand it’s a rare vintage find, but if the bride has any information on the mark (or pictures to help recreate it), is there any way that I can be contacted? I know this is quite forward, but it is far too gorgeous of a dress to not inquire!!
Hi – thank you for all your lovely compliments – yes, the dresses were both vintage…
I am in London but I scour markets across the world for high quality vintage pieces which I do sell – my website is not live yet – will post details when it is (should be shortly). Thanks again! xx
Both dresses are beautiful, although I do feel that the short dress was a little too short for such a formal event, it is gorgeous nonetheless.
what a beautiful wedding!
it’s so hard to find beautiful gowns like this nowadays : ) great wedding! congratulations!
An absolutely stunning wedding on so many levels. I too am an Australian living in London but planning a wedding to take place in Melbourne next year. I was wondering whether you could give me some more information on the bridal bouquet. What is the other flower in it, apart from those beautiful roses?
Gorgeous wedding Jo. Absolutely stunning. I too am in love with the dress.
Can I ask where the Edwardian Ocean Baths are. I’m a Sydney girl and it looks so familiar but I can’t put my finger on it!
Definitely post details about your vintage dress site, I wld love to purchase.
Where are those earrings from? I’m in love with them!
Just wondering if you have any information about the reception location, specifically. I’m starting to plan my Australian wedding and this was the sort of idea I had in mind.
Please, please where did you find those Jimmy Choo’s ? and what is the style name ?
Looks like Wylies Baths in Coogee? Love the stationary…..any chance of more details as to where she got it?
The reception is definitely Wylies Baths in Coogee – i have recently booked it for my wedding in Jan 11. would love to know who did the styling – its beautiful…
Hi Everyone – a few answers – the shoes were Lavelle (last season) , yes, it is at Wylies Baths, stylist was the amazing http://annalaststylist.tumblr.com/ , jewellery was vintage sourced by me…
Place settings by my husband and I, menu cards my concept executed by Halen Dolan of Bread of Many (based on the lovely invitation design she did for me). I think the other flower in my bouquet is queen annes lace. Happy wedding planning all, details of my vintage service to follow shortly xx
This is so gorgeous! I love the Jimmy Choo shoes, please may I request the style name of these? Thanks so much!

thanks
We are about to sign on the dotted line for Wylie’s… but before I do I am very keen to have a few questions answered and you seem the perfect person to help me out – if you would be so kind as to please spare the time? I just have some general questions, and I really hope you can help out. Maybe I could telephone you quickly and ask you? (so intrusive! I know!)
If not perhaps I can shoot you an email?
Just basics such as:
Quality of food + service, were there any hassles I should be aware of, was it strange having the dancefloor away from the tables, was the dancefloor covered (rain etc), how would the space be for 140 seated, where did you get your gorgeous chairs (I’m assuming not the Wylies chairs?), was the water/wind very noisy? Was very LOUD music permitted? Can you bring audio VISUALS in, were you able to actually see out to the ocean in the darkness? Was would you say the temperature was at night time? (I come from a big family of sweaty people, so an air-conditioned venue is a must, however I’m thinking it would get reasonably cool at night even in Summer?) Again, how was space to move around (with two long tables)? Was there a lot of shuffling around or was it not too bad?
ETC.
Thank you Josephine. The most beautiful bride I have ever seen.
