This dress fit me pretty snuggly. It's in great condition and newly dry cleaned. It's currently hanging on a molded hanger. Bolero jacket is included as well. I never wore it. The dress was not shortened or taken in. The only alterations made were the straps were cut off, velcro pads...

added to attach to my bustier and keep it snug, and the back was bustled. I removed the pads off my bustier and will send it with the dress. However, it's removable with a seam cutter if you don't want the velcro. Straps will also be sent with the dress. I'm pretty short but I wore crazy shoes to make sure I wouldn't have to cut it. It's the shortest length option at 55".
