This elegant and simple Vera Wang was a $5,300 dress bought as a sample for $1,600 in 2006! I had it altered down to a size 2, bustled, and made a few changes, including a soft-sweetheart neckline, and removal of the "optional" halter straps. There were a few beads at...

the neckline that I had removed and I added a champagne colored sash, which is not attached and can be worn without or swapped for any type of sash/ribbon/belt you choose! It was classified as mermaid style, but I would say it is a soft mermaid or trumpet silhouette. The bottom of the hem is dirty, but if you have the dress hemmed by 1/2 inch or have the bottom hem replaced, it should be fine. Some faded make-up marks on the INSIDE of the bust line, but not visible at all when the dress it on. I am about 5"3, and I wore the dress with 2.5 inch heels. The dress was a sample, size 10, that I had altered down to my street size 0/2. The dress is a beautiful silhouette and also has potential for personalization. Great opportunity to own a Vera Wang for under 1,000!
