I hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! We’ve got a busy week here at Once Wed full of charming real weddings and talented new sponsors. Up first is this sweet New York wedding that took place in July and the gorgeous flowers were created by the always incredible Saipua. And how much do you love the groom’s baby blue suit with floral print tie?

Super cute! To Once Wed, do you think you’d be able to include stats, mainly guest count, in addition to the wedding descriptions. Everything is elegant and adorable but I’m one of those readers that would like to know how the brides/grooms created such personal touches… is it because their wedding had 50 guests or can you pull it off w/ 150 guests! Thanks for posting my wedding – it’s so fun to relive it again! A few details for those that are interested:
My wedding dress was made by a close friend but modeled very closely after a Vera Wang gown a few seasons ago.
Bryan’s gorgeous pale blue suit is from Brooks Brothers and his tie is Steven Alan (we searched for MONTHS for a great liberty print!)
Our ceremony took place in Fort Tryon Park, and the reception was under at tent at The New Leaf Cafe. Each table was decorated with Saipua’s amazing flowers in vintage blue Ball jars. And each table had a different patterned tablecloth that Bryan and I made – your seating card had a swatch of fabric on it so you knew which table you were seated at.
We did not have a wedding cake, but instead we had 16 homemade fruit pies made by my father and our friend Albert (who was also master of Ceremonies).

Where is the Maid of Honor’s dress from? Everything is very lovely.
Just to answer a few more questions, we had 60 people at our wedding. The tables sat 6 at each so we were able to do with smaller more intimate tables and low standing floral arrangements. The printed table cloths definitely added some texture, and we also made homemade tealight candles with vintage (.50 cent) bakelite espresso cups from Fish’s Eddy. We had about 5 per table. That’s it!
The bridesmaids were instructed to wear cream or ivory in chiffon, silk, or cotton – no satin or jersey. It had to be flowy and knee length also. So they each picked their own dress with my final approval and everyone was happy. My maid of honor had the same instructions but her’s was ankle length.
The groomsmen all wore seersucker pants and vests from J. Crew, and cream canvas shoes my husband picked out for them.
Sarah at SAIPUA did all of our gorgeous flowers, and since we were having a July wedding and our vibe was very vintage I gave her tons of freedom to create something with that feel. I wanted a ‘just picked’ sense to the arrangements, and that’s really what she does best.

i LOVE this wedding! also really appreciate the beautiful photography. you see so many wedding photos these days that are just average & heavily photoshopped to look “vintage” or whatever… this is quality work.

Hi guys,
My headband was handmade by my friend who designed my dress. It’s an ivory patent headband from J. Crew then embellished with tulle and crystals.
The placards were based off a template I got on MarthaStewart.com. We followed the template but put a little of our own spin on it. They were really easy to make!
