It is surprisingly thick and substantial, and it helps to give the dress its shape. I had extra tulle added into the dress so that it would give the bottom a fuller appearance. I also had a simple one point bustle added to this dress. All alterations were performed at Priscilla of Boston. The dress can be taken in and/or hemmed. Dress comes with optional straps. I absolutely love this dress but at the same time, I'm very practical and know that I won't wear it again. I'd love to see someone else rock it. The dress is in perfect condition, with no stains, tears, etc. I can't describe enough how well this dress held up. The wedding was indoors. It still looks brand new.
