Back at the reception, a framed image of a tree had everyone’s table number assignment and gave off the feeling of our own vast family tree.  At each chair were “placecards”  written on creek stones that we collected together on several trips upstate (we reside in Brooklyn). The candle pillars, table numbers and cake stands were all made by Edward’s father (we kept him very busy!) and everyone was able to take them home.  We found our cake topper in an antique shop in New Paltz.  We had a cake on each table as the centerpiece with scattered peonies, ranunculuses and seeded eucalyptus making each table scape unique.  The cakes were delicious to anyone out there in the Albany area! Yay Crisan!

I really love this wedding. It’s so sweet! Very impressed that the bride and groom did it all themselves.

Handcrafted table numbers, pillars and all made by the father!

My only regret was that I never made anything with my own hands for the wedding. Think it would have made the event even more spiritual for me if I put some sweat into it!

gorgeous! my kind of wedding. I also used small pieces of birch with a slit to display my table numbers. Now I use the pieces at home to display favorite cards and mementos.
