Nathan + Angela III

Chinese lanterns, and strings of white lights hung every where. My main color was yellow — but I had some white & green accents here and there also. The backyard was full of greenery, and white & yellow flowers. We purchased mason jars from Publix to hold some of the flowers, but mostly to hold white candles. Online we purchased bottles & jars from Specialty Bottle. We used 4 different sized bottles to hold flowers for each centerpiece. The bottles sat on top of wood planks we rented from our florist.

Our menu was pretty much a huge salad bar. You would go through the line picking out what toppings you wanted on it. There was chicken & steak strips, as well as other basic salad toppings like onions, peppers, cheese etc. But you could also eat the meat separately from the salad if you wanted. The sides were baked potatoes – sweet & regular, wheat rolls or biscuits with homemade apple butter. To drink we had water with lemon, tea (sweet & unsweet), and lemonade. An old friend of ours catered. She’s catered other friends’ weddings before but she doesn’t have a real business, it’s sort of an at home thing. She really loves to cook!

Because alcohol is so expensive, and Nathan & I aren’t huge drinkers we had a coffee bar instead (we love coffee). We used Cafe Ala Carte. The guests could order any drink they’d like from lattes to cappuccinos. The jars we ordered from Specialty Bottle were used to hold our favors — Starbucks coffee beans! Another favor we had were Tazo tea bags (for the non-coffee drinkers). We used 3 different flavors — Wild Sweet Orange, Green Tea, & Calm – which I believe was just a plain black tea. We put them in ivory favor bags we purchased at Michael’s craft store.

Angela, thank you so much coming on Once Wed today to share your wedding. We wish you and Nathan a lifetime of happiness!

Where did you get the jars for your favors — same place as the others? Those look like the ones I’ve been considering for our honey favors. It’s nice to see them in context and with stuff in them as opposed to floating on a white background. I’d love to know where you got them! ps – everything looks amazing!

ok, another ps – you rock! that site charges $.19 less per jar than the one I had looked at before! you win.

I love the simplicity of the centerpieces juxtaposed with the phaleonopsis orchids! Awesome!

I’ve been loving yellow recently, and this wedding just took my obsession up a notch. Love the groom’s sunglasses too – the two of them look like models! Sure you didn’t get this from a magazine?

Such a sweet wedding! I love how she said the dinner was basically a huge salad bar… it sounds awesome. Also love the coffee station they had! Oh, and her hairpiece!

I love baskets and jars with ribbon. What could be better than that? Oh, maybe a bride that is to die for, like this one?

Love it!
